We’re searching for a modern-day MacGyver who can seamlessly juggle data annihilation, gadget resurrection, and the art of the perfect online listing. As a key member of our dynamic team, you’ll be the hero who saves clients from data breaches, breathes new life into tech relics, and skillfully showcases the hidden treasures within our inventory. If you’re ready to embark on an adventure where you tackle challenges head-on, join us as we conquer the ITAD world, one byte at a time.

  1. Data Destruction:

    • Safely and securely erase sensitive data from various storage devices, adhering to industry standards and best practices to ensure complete and irreversible data elimination.
  2. Equipment Assessment:

    • Evaluate the condition of incoming IT assets, determining their potential for refurbishment, repurposing, or recycling, while maximizing value and adhering to environmental regulations.
  3. Technology Refurbishment:

    • Restore and upgrade pre-owned devices, breathing new life into them while maintaining optimal performance and ensuring they meet our high-quality standards before reintroducing them to the market.
  4. Inventory Management:

    • Organize and maintain an accurate inventory of refurbished devices, components, and materials, keeping track of their condition, value, and location to streamline the remarketing process.
  5. Online Listing Creation:

    • Craft compelling and accurate online listings for refurbished devices and components, highlighting their features, condition, and benefits to attract potential buyers and maximize sales.
  6. Quality Assurance:

    • Conduct thorough testing and inspections of refurbished devices and components to ensure their functionality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards, guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
  7. Environmental Compliance:

    • Adhere to local, state, and federal environmental regulations when handling electronic waste, ensuring responsible disposal, recycling, or repurposing of devices and components, and promoting sustainability.
  8. Client Support:

    • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, or requests related to data destruction, technology refurbishment, and listed items, fostering strong relationships and ensuring a positive experience.
  9. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed records of data destruction processes, equipment assessments, and refurbishment procedures, ensuring transparency, accountability, and regulatory compliance throughout the ITAD lifecycle.
  10. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in ITAD, data destruction, and refurbishment, actively seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and quality within the organization.

Below are a list of skills and abilities the ideal candidate would have, but please note that ReTech believes in hiring the best fit for the team and are happy to train the right person.

  1. Technical expertise:

    • Strong understanding of various IT hardware, including computers, servers, storage devices, and mobile devices, as well as their components and functions.
  2. Data security knowledge:

    • Familiarity with data sanitization techniques, industry standards, and best practices to ensure secure and effective data destruction.
  3. Troubleshooting and problem-solving:

    • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, as well as identify opportunities for device upgrades and improvements during the refurbishment process.
  4. Attention to detail:

    • Meticulous approach to assessing, refurbishing, and listing items to ensure accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  5. Organization and time management:

    • Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintaining an organized workspace and inventory system.
  6. Written communication:

    • Proficiency in crafting clear, concise, and engaging online listings and other written materials that effectively convey information and attract potential buyers.
  7. Interpersonal skills:

    • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders through clear communication, active listening, and collaboration.
  8. Environmental awareness:

    • Knowledge of environmental regulations and a commitment to responsible and sustainable ITAD practices, including proper disposal, recycling, and repurposing of electronic waste.
  9. Quality assurance:

    • Experience with testing procedures and quality control measures to ensure the functionality, reliability, and compliance of refurbished devices and components.

Certificate or Bootcamp experience in computer repair preferred.
